WELCOME
Langston University Chi Alpha (LUXA) is a Christian Fellowship that began at LU in the fall of 2017. Everyone is welcome. Our heart is to be a safe place for people to find peace, love, truth, friendship, and redemption through the gospel message of Jesus.
Come check us out. We weren't meant to do this thing alone.
We meet weekly on Wednesdays nights conveniently right on campus.
LUXA is a part of a national organization known as Chi Alpha
Family is always there for each other, not just lifting each other up, but, correcting and sharpening each other. We carry each other, our family is more than just flesh and bone. It is all those who accept the sacrifice Christ made.
Family is His blood.
Galatians 6:1-2
Viewed highly in the collegiate world, but also in general society. We believe that everything we do should glorify God and that we are examples of how to live.
Matthew 5:16, 1 Timothy 4:12
By being authentic we mean to be as real as Jesus is in the New Testament, rejoicing with those who are rejoicing and mourning with those who mourn.
Ephesians 4:22-24
Servant Leadership is a pyramid flipped upside down, where the leader is not the one on top of everyone but the one on the bottom supporting the group. "... Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..."
Matthew 20:25-28
We are super excited to have De'Asia back on campus with us. As a student De'Asia held many hats with LUXA including our Student President. This year she has come back to LU to Give-A-Year back to God and see what He has instore for her. She will be helping with students, POV, and Small Groups.
Got a question about life after LU this is the lady to ask!

Brian and Mariah love Jesus and love introducing Him to new people!
They met in Chi Alpha as students and it is there that they felt called to campus missions.
They are currently in their 7th year as directors and feel that it is a blessing
to disciple new brothers and sisters in Christ.
Why Jesus:
(Brian) I grew up in the church, as some say 'born in the church'. But I never truly got the weight of the Gospel till just after my senior year when a friend passed away. It was then I realized how much more important Jesus was than just a guy I say hi to on a Sunday or before meals. Jesus is the Way to Eternity with my God, He is the Truth so many are seeking, and He is my Life and life-giver.
Without Him, I would be lost.
(Mariah) Because Jesus transformed my life. In Jesus, I have purpose. This world is crazy and honestly a little scary at times. But because of who God is in my life, I am not fearful. I, in fact, have peace that surpases all understanding. And I have everlasting hope. And you can too!
